Sculptor. Writer. Creative.

Unique Perspective

Multidisciplinary Artist

I'm Joshlyn Peace—a non-binary, Washington, D.C.-based model and creative professional with a diverse background that bridges athleticism, artistry, and advocacy.

Texture and storytelling shape everything I make, from sculptural pieces to writing and intimate visual imagery.

I bring that curiosity into everything I create, resulting in work that feels both personal and immersive.

Magazine Dress

Transformed printed pages into a bold, painful yet wearable narrative, while quietly challenging the long-held hourglass beauty standard by celebrating form, structure, and storytelling over the expectation that bodies must conform to a single, limiting ideal as seen in the very  fashion magazines tightening around the legs.

BEING BOLD +
CLAIMING YOUR SPACE

I invite you to engage with my interview in which I share my experience as a non-binary, androgynous model. I discuss overcoming self-doubt, embracing my fuller figure, and how my background in rugby has influenced my approach to modeling. Additionally, I emphasize the significance of remaining true to oneself, embracing one's unique style, and the importance of assertively saying no. If you seek an honest conversation about building confidence and establishing your own space, I encourage you to view the full interview.

A balloon-constructed ballgown transforms a playful, ephemeral material into a dramatic sculptural form, where the tension between lightness and labor becomes part of the narrative. The implied headache speaks to the repetitive, almost absurd effort of inflating each piece, embedding frustration directly into the garment’s creation. Vertical lines guide the viewer’s eye upward, suggesting aspiration or release, while the clustered balloons remain grounded below, creating a striking visual contrast between elevation and weight, effort and illusion.
